UEFA president Ceferin speaks on Mbappe's controversial contract renewal at Paris Saint-German

Last month, Kylian Mbappe signed a contract extension at Paris Saint-Germain despite many months of rumours linking with a free transfer to Real Madrid.

The Frenchman's decision to stay in France is reportedly down to PSG's offer of €35 million-a-year on top of a massive signing bonus (said to be £110 million).

La Liga called the French club's contract offer 'scandalous' due to their perceived disregard of financial fair play, calling on UEFA and Aleksander Ceferin to act.

Ceferin said to BBC Sport in an interview: "Whoever will respect our rules is welcome to play in our competitions; who will not respect the rules will not.

"It's not for Real Madrid or anyone else to tell YEFA what to do. They are outraged from but, as much as I know, their offer was similar to [PSG's] offer."
