Uruguay Leave Darwin Nunez Out Of Panama Friendly Game To Let Him Secure Liverpool Move

Uruguay have confirmed that they allowed Darwin Nunez to leave the national camp before their 5-0 win over Panama, as per Fabrizio Romano.

This was to allow him to travel back to Europe and complete the impending move to Liverpool.

Nunez has already agreed personal terms on a five-year contract at Liverpool and is waiting for Benfica to agree a fee with the Reds.

The Uruguayan striker will then undergo medical examinations and sign the contract before being unveiled as a new Liverpool player.

Nunez rejected a move to Man United and instead opted to join Liverpool – who are ready to pay as much as €100m for his services.
