'We Can't Rely On One Option': Bayern Director Sends Liverpool Message Over Sadio Mane Talks

Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has hinted that the German club might be prepared to walk away from the talks over Sadio Mane if Liverpool remain insistent on their demands.

"Of course we can't rely on one option to strengthen our attack," Salihamidzic said, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo. "We must have several options.

"Generally speaking, we're trying to strengthen our team. We're working on several options in attack.

"The transfer market is not easy, it always depends on the financial possibilities of the club. I don't want to talk about players of other clubs."

It's been reported that Liverpool have rejected £25m and £30m bids for Mane and asked for at least £40m, a reasonable fee for one of the prime attackers in the game.

Liverpool are closing in on Darwin Nunez who might become Mane's replacement in the middle of the front three.
