Wolverhampton have stepped up their interest in Nico Gonzalez, Diario Sport report. They would like to sign him either on loan or on a permanent deal.
If Barcelona make a move for Ruben Neves, Wolves will ask for Nico to be included in the deal. The Catalans had offered Oscar Mingueza, Riqui Puig and Martin Braithwaite but the English team rejected them.
Meanwhile, the same source reports that Neves has told Wolves that his priority is to join Barca this summer.
Blaugrana see Ruben as a potential replacement for Sergio Busquets. However, his signing could end up costing in the region of €50m.
As for Nico, Barca are ready to part ways with the young midfielder.
