Real Madrid have decided against signing a new striker this summer, despite talks linking Mariano with a permanent exit.

If Perez decides to show the Dominican striker the exit, Real Madrid will be truly handicapped in attack, particularly if Borja Mayoral also joins him in leaving - which is looking like a real possibility.

Centre-forward: Karim Benzema, (Hazard as false 9), Juan Latasa

As you can see, Benzema will have no natural backup in his position - apart from Latasa who is clearly still a rookie.
