Ancelotti drops starting XI hint and Florentino Perez is asked to bring back Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid trained at UCLA facilities on Thursday morning, with president Florentino Perez, accompanied by Jose Angel Sanchez, in attendance as well.

The president was warmly received, signing autographs and posing with fans just like the most sought-after players.

Supporters thanked him for helping the club win their 14th Champions League title. Others asked for Cristiano Ronaldo's return, while some asked about failed bid to sign Kylian Mbappe.

Clues as to the starting XI
On the field, Carlo Ancelotti and his staff continued their work with the players. The line-up used in the small intrasquad match offered some hints as to a potential line-up.

Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Odriozola; Ceballos, Casemiro, Camavinga; Valverde, Benzema and Vinicius lined up without a bib, while Lunin; Lucas Vazquez, Nacho, Alaba, Mendy; Modric, Tchouameni, Kroos; Asensio, Hazard and Rodrygo played without one.

The two Castilla goalkeepers, Luis Lopez and Lucas Canizares, were left out of the squad, along with Vinicius Tobias and Jesus Vallejo. They did rejoin the group later however.

The second training session of the day will take place at 17:00, and after, the team will rest until 10:00 on Friday. That will be the last test before Saturday's El Clasico in Las Vegas, a match in which, barring any setbacks, all 28 players should be available.
