Thus, the Italian gaffer has settled with Borja Mayoral as a backup for Benzema, when Luka Jovic eventually leaves.
Real Madrid are also looking to offload Mariano Diaz if an offer arrives for him.
Hence, Ancelotti's cover for Benzema will be Mayoral and Eden Hazard playing a new role.
It is clear that Real Madrid will not sign a striker this summer.
