Barca turn full attention on Azpilcueta after Kounde deal falls through, price tag revealed

Barcelona are going all out for Cesar Azpilicueta after ruling themselves out of the race to sign Jules Kounde, as per Diario Sport.

Barcelona will pay Chelsea €5m to sign Azpilicueta for two seasons, with an option of one more year.

Azpilcueta is a versatile defender who can play either at centre-back, right-back or left-back.

Besides his wealth of experience and winning mentality, he's also a player who rarely ever gets injured with nearly 500 appearances for Chelsea in about 10 years.

The only drawback with the Spaniard is his age - he turns 33 next month.
