Dani Ceballos has decided to continue at Real Madrid for this season after a face-to-face conversation with Carlo Ancelotti, Diario AS say.
The coach promised to give the midfielder more playing time this season, and that's what convinced the 25-year-old.
Ceballos's current deal expires in 2023, and Real Madrid have no intentions of extending it at the moment. Thus, the Merengues were open to a departure, although they did not actively try to push Dani out of the club.
The Spaniard played just 338 minutes across 18 matches last term, mostly coming off the bench. However, we have to keep in mind that he missed the first half of the season through injury.
