As per reliable reporter Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports, Chelsea are 'making progress' on the Matthijs de Ligt transfer.
Juventus want a straight cash deal. The Serie A club is interested in Jorginho but don't want him to be a part of this deal (player plus cash).
Juventus have 'softened' a bit on the price and this has seen Chelsea continue to push for the centre-back.
However, the two teams are still some distance apart in final valuation so add ons key. Chelsea are hoping to pay £60-65 million but Juventus want close to £75m.
That's 'still progress' as Juventus' initial asking price was well over £80m. De Ligt is 'very open' to the move, the report adds.
