“Today Barcelona will not repeat the mistakes of the past," Barcelona president Joan Laporta said to Barca TV.

"If you have noticed, we have signed players who are in the middle age bracket. Those who are 25, 26, 27. We didn't have them before," Laporta added.
Some Barca fans have slammed Barca for spending heavily on Lewandowski, with one Barca fan on Reddit saying "Laporta is selling the future of our club."
However, there's no better striker out there in Europe compared to a forward who scored 50 goals for his former club last season.
Barcelona spent 50 million euros on Lewandowski.
