"It's been good to be back with Chelsea," Conor Gallagher told Sky Sports.
"Obviously I've got to try and impress and show what I can do. But so far, so good.
"I felt like I was ready to make the step up to Chelsea this season. The boss has said he wants me around and he thinks I'm good enough.
"Hopefully I can play a big part this season."
It was previously reported that Thomas Tuchel has decided to keep the midfielder in the squad for the upcoming season. Chelsea are reportedly working on a new deal for Conor.
