Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane reportedly injured ahead of Liverpool friendly

Separate reports are claiming that Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane have picked up injuries in the very first overseas pre-season training session.

The Manchester Evening News has claimed that both centre-backs are likely to miss Manchester United's friendly with Liverpool on July 12.

While Varane has missed training entirely, Maguire was spotted doing an isolated work out with a coach.

If the duo is ruled out, that leaves Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe as centre-back options for Erik ten Hag on Tuesday.
