Speaking on talkSPORT radio, Gabriel Agbonlahor said: "People talking about this game, and some Manchester United fans are getting excited.
"But pre-season doesn't matter. Honestly, players are at different stages of fitness, playing in Thailand, the weather, the humidity, it's going to be hard to play in.
"So pre-season is about your fitness, isn't it? It's not about results at all. So I wouldn't look into last night, and it probably could be the last time Man United beat Liverpool until next pre-season!"
Man United kicked off their 2022/23 pre-season campaign — and the Erik ten Hag era — by beating Liverpool 4–0 in Bangkok, Thailand on Tuesday.
The Red Devils, who were leading 3–0 at half-time, managed to keep a clean sheet and score another goal as Jurgen Klopp brought on his star players after the break.
