Jules Kounde 'closer to Barcelona than Chelsea'

Barcelona are leading the race to sign Jules Kounde this summer, according to reliable transfer insider Gerard Romero.

The centre-back is currently 'closer to Barca than Chelsea' but the deal to bring the 23-year-old to Camp Nou isn't 'done by any means'.

The La Liga giants have agreed a four-year contract with the player's side but they are yet to strike a deal with Sevilla who are asking for at least €60 million.

Chelsea have turned their attention to Kounde after failing to sign Nathan Ake from Manchester City this summer. However, the Frenchman would prefer to join Barcelona instead.
