Man City keeper Muric completing finishing touches on his £3m move to Burnley

Manchester City goalkeeper Aro Muric is completing a move to Burnley for around £3million.

The 23-year-old is putting the finishing touches on a switch to the Championship club, who are looking to bounce straight back to the Premier League.

New Burnley boss Vincent Kompany was a main driver in Muric opting for Turf Moor ahead of other interested sides on the continent.

Muric is highly regarded at City - who are including a buyback option - and produced a string of encouraging performances as they won the Carabao Cup in 2019.

A loan spell at Nottingham Forest proved a disappointment but the Kosovo international has rediscovered his form during spells across Europe.

Muric went to Willem II in Holland and proved key in the club retaining their status in the Eredivisie during the second half of the 2020-21 season.

He then enjoyed the best campaign of his career to date last term and was voted goalkeeper of the season in Turkey while on loan at Adana Demirspor.
