Nottingham Forest are currently in a very good position to sign former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard, claims The Guardian.
The newly-promoted Premier League side are in ‘advanced talks’ with the 29-year-old and have made him a really lucrative contract offer.
Lingard is demanding major wages of £180,000-a-week, that that waved off interest from multiple clubs.
West Ham United were eager to bring back the midfielder, but are not ready to pay him that kind of wages.
Forest, yet, have shown a willingness to break their wage structure to secure the signing of the ex-United star.
Lingard has been a free agent since letting his contract with the Red Devils expire last month.
