Reece James scored a somewhat comical own goal in Chelsea's 2-1 victory against Club America.
The Englishman was under pressure close to the Blues' box and decided to go for what seemed like a safe option — a back pass to goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli.
Chelsea's third-choice goalie did not expect it and failed to control the ball, which ended up in the net.
Here's a video of the goal. To add oddity to an already bizarre situation, the camera zooms in on Azpilicueta as if he is to blame for the goal.
