As per the reliable Nizaar Kinsella, Sevilla prefer to sell Jules Kounde to Chelsea over Barcelona since they don't want to add a star player to their direct rivals.
The Blues are now 'edging closer' to completing the transfer, he adds. They have agreed on personal terms with Kounde a long time ago.
Kounde is open to a move both to Chelsea and Barcelona and Sevilla are pushing him to decide fast.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea have told Sevilla they will return soon with a new bid for the defender, after the first one was refused [€55m add-ons included].
Barcelona are still pushing for the transfer as Xavi wants Kounde. Sevilla's asking price remains set at €65m.
