Raheem Sterling completed a £47.5 million move from Man City to Chelsea earlier this week. But the forward desired a shock return to Liverpool, if a report from Jacque Talbot is to be believed.
“We heard from reliable sources that Sterling actually wanted to go to Liverpool before making the move for Chelsea,” Talbot told Give Me Sport.
“I don’t think Manchester United were a consideration, but what I heard is that in essence, Liverpool rejected him.”
It has to be noted that Talbot is not considered a particularly reliable source.
