West Ham United fans planning to throw 'fake money' at Jesse Lingard in Nottingham Forest clash

West Ham United fans are infuriated after seeing Jesse Lingard reject them and join Nottingham Forest.

That is because the 29-year-old is reportedly receiving a huge salary of £200,000-a-week from the newly-promoted Premier League side.

Despite teasing a return to the Hammers all summer long, Lingard opted to join Nottingham and sign a one-year contract with them.

Some West Ham fans are now planning to buy ‘fake money’ from Amazon and throw it towards him when the two teams meet on August 14.

@WhuCentre, a West Ham fans’ Twitter account tweeted: “Anyone else going to Forest away… you know what to do.”

Incidentally, that game against West Ham will likely also be Lingard’s home debut for Forest.
