'Xavi was one of the main reasons why I chose Barca': Kounde

"My conversation with Xavi was one of the main reasons for choosing Barcelona. We spoke several times. I think we see football in the same way. And I come here to listen and learn," Jules Kounde has said.

"I am very proud and happy. Very satisfied. I want to start training already. I want to thank Sevilla for my time there. Barca is the next big step in my career, I want to win all the titles here."

As per reports, Kounde was one step away from signing for Chelsea when Xavi intervened. The Barca coach convinced the Frenchman to give Barca more time to finalize his transfer, promising him a key role on the team.

And it's not just Kounde, Xavi spoke with all of the Barca signings before they arrived at Camp Nou.
