Xavi's '10 iron rules' and the players who broke them last season

When Barcelona appointed Xavi back in November 2021, it was revealed that the 42-year-old came on board with some 10 iron rules for the squad and staff.

One of those rules prohibited players from coming late to training and meetings. But we already know that it was broken by Ousmane Dembele - who arrived late for training on more than one occasion.

One of Xavi's rules also demands that players to maintain a good image in the media. That rule has also been broken by Gerard Pique when audio of the defender's underhand dealings with the Spanish FA president was leaked to the press

Xavi even had to do some PR to save some face for the club.

Finally, Xavi instructed his players to be home before midnight two days before a game. That rule was probably broken by Pique and Puig given their love for night parties with models.
