6 players who impressed the most in Real Madrid pre-season

Real Madrid's pre-season is over, having played three friendlies during their tour in the USA. The Merengues recorded one loss, one draw and one win.

Here's the short list of players that impressed us the most in these matches.

Karim Benzema - Despite returning to training later than the rest of his teammates, the Frenchman proved that he is in excellent condition and even finished the pre-season tour as the top goalscorer.

Eduardo Camavinga - The youngster got to play a fair amount of minutes in these games. Camavinga proved that he is a well-rounded player that combines creativity and defensive aptitude. His performance against America was one to remember.

Toni Kroos - The German had an incredible match against Juventus and looked good in the other games as well. If Kroos keeps up the good form, he will have no problem continuing as a starter this season.

Fede Valverde - Ancelotti continues using Valverde on the right wing as he sees him as a safe option for the big games. During the pre-season, the Uruguayan once again showed us his versatility.

Luka Modric - Madrid are a better team with him than without, this is hard to argue with. The match against Barcelona was the best example, as the Merengues got control of the game soon after he came on.

Eden Hazard - The 31-year-old wasn't flawless, but we have to give him credit for managing to look decent out of position. The coach used him as a false nine, and it appears that Eden will be Benzema's backup this season. He even got a goal and a classy pre-assist.
