'Barca have to be back, it will be the best for everyone': Florentino Perez

"There are seasons that we all do better or worse, but Barcelona are one of the most important institutions in the world together with Real Madrid," Florentino Perez has said.

"They have to go back to being what they are, it will be the best for everyone, for the world of football."

Barcelona have been in somewhat of a crisis lately, going trophyless twice in the last three seasons. The Catalans have had an impressive transfer campaign this summer, signing the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde.

Nevertheless, it is uncommon to hear a Madrid president speak so highly about Barca. 

There have been reports in the press that the relationship between Florentino and Joan Laporta is much better than it was years ago, with the Super League and the fight against CVC pushing them closer.
