Diario Sport, a Catalan source, reports that Chelsea have submitted a bid for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. The Blues are offering €70m and Marcos Alonso.
The Dutchman still insists at staying at Camp Nou. He is even ready to lower his salary to remain at Barcelona. Only if staying is impossible he would consider a move to Chelsea.
However, Chelsea remain optimistic of bringing him to the Bridge.
Speaking of Alonso, it has already been revealed that the left-back has agreed personal terms with Blaugrana and wants to go to Camp Nou.
If Chelsea do not reach agreement over De Jong, they would sell Alonso directly to Barca for a fee of around €10m.
