Frenkie de Jong to become Manchester United highest-paid player

Manchester United are preparing a final charge for Frenkie De Jong with an offer worth £450,000 (€530,000) per week for the player, per Daily Mail in England.

Catalan source Diario Sport claim that Manchester United are willing to pay De Jong the €20m Barca owes him in deferred wages.

If De Jong accepts the deal, he will become Man United's highest-paid player - ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and David De Gea.

The sensation around De Jong is that he wants to stay at Barca, but both Xavi and Joan Laporta have hinted the player may be sold to Barca's financial issues.

The money being quoted is crazy, to say the least - if Frenkie wants to play for money there's nowhere else to go but Manchester.
