Gary Neville: 'As ex-captain of Man Utd, seeing Ronaldo playing petty games disgusts me'

Speaking to The Overlap about the Cristiano Ronaldo situation, Gary Neville explained: "It is unpleasant for me to watch this.

"As ex-captain of Manchester United, seeing the club’s biggest star [Ronaldo] playing petty games disgusts me.

"You can’t have your agent run things for you. It happened with [Paul] Pogba and his agent as well.

"This isn’t the first time this has happened."

There are doubts over whether or not Ronaldo will continue at Old Trafford for another season. With no club willing to sign him though, the 37-year-old doesn't have much of a choice.

The Glazers reportedly want to keep him but Ronaldo's individualistic style - and ego - could jeopardise the harmony in the squad.
