'Haaland is now the best alongside Henry and Shearer': Guardiola mocks overreacting football fans

Manchester City kicked off their 2022/23 Premier League campaign with a 2–0 win away at West Ham on Sunday with Erling Haaland scoring a brace.

The striker, who was heavily criticised for his disappointing display in the 3–1 defeat against Liverpool in a Community Shield clash, is now back to his best.

And Man City boss Pep Guardiola had a message to football fans who continue to overreact every time a player doesn't have the best of times on the pitch.

The Spaniard said: "One week ago he couldn't adapt in the Premier League, now he's the best alongside Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer and Cristiano Ronaldo."
