"It's true that I had the opportunity to sign for Chelsea, but we had to wait if Barca could reach an agreement with Sevilla," Jules Kounde said in his first Barca press conference.
"When I saw that this was possible, I chose Barca, because I was very clear about the project.
"I'm very happy and proud to join this great club. I'm very grateful to the President and the fans, now I have to train hard and succeed," the defender adds.
Kounde's signing massively strengthen Barcelona's defence, particularly at centre-back where they also signed Andreas Christensen.
