Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with AS Monaco for the loan of centre-back Malang Sarr, as per the very reliable David Ornstein.
The player is currently in France undergoing his medical, with just some final details needing sorting between the two clubs.
The initial transfer will be a one-season loan deal. There will be an obligation to buy for around €15m if certain conditions are met - all of these conditions are based on the number of appearances Sarr will make with Monaco.
If the deal is made permanent, Sarr will sign a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 club.
The loan deal is expected to be made official within the next couple of days.
