Getafe has just announced the permanent signing of Borja Mayoral from Real Madrid.
The Spanish striker joins the Liga club on a deal worth €10m as earlier reported. He will sign a 5-year contract with them after a medical.
Mayoral opted to join Getafe to get more playing time as opposed to being in the shadow of Karim Benzema at Real Madrid.
Mayoral was hot during his days at Real Madrid Castilla, scoring 17 goals in 38 matches. But he only managed 7 senior goals for Real Madrid after 33 appearances. He was last loaned to AS Roma.
Real Madrid now have just Mariano as their no. 9 backup for Benzema.
