Curtis Jones was spotted on crutches after Liverpool's win against Manchester City in the Community Shield.
The midfielder was absent from today's training session as he recovers from the knock.
As per the Liverpool Echo, he will definitely miss Liverpool's first two Premier League games and is expected to miss two to four games.
“A little bit lesser injuries would be nice – we were a bit unlucky very early, before we really started training, to be honest, and that doesn’t help.
“But the boys will come back rather sooner than later and then we have a fuller squad," Jurgen Klopp said of Curtis and Ibrahima Konate's recent injuries.
