Riqui Puig Exit Means Gavi Will Soon Get New Jersey Number

Gavi is ready to take over the no. 6 jersey from Riqui Puig.

The 17-year-old is expected to sign his new Barcelona contract in the coming days. This is when his new shirt number could be confirmed too.

Thus, Gavi and Pedri will wear the no. 6 and no. 8 respectively next season, following in the footsteps of Xavi and Andres Iniesta.

As a reminder, Gavi's current number is 30 which is not even a first-team number.
