'A wonderful human being': Xavi names one player he feels especially bad about losing this summer

Barcelona offloaded 18 players this summer, with Xavi not counting on most of them.

In the latest press conference, though, the coach named one player that he wish had stayed.

"I feel sorry for all those who have left, even some of them who have known since May that they would have to leave... But, especially Auba, I feel very sorry for him. Auba is a treasure as a person. A role model. I will miss him a lot.

"Aubameyang is a wonderful human being. He has to be a role model for everyone."

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Chelsea on a permanent transfer on the transfer deadline day, with Barca earning €12m from the move. The 33-year-old spent just six months at the club but it was enough for him to win over the fans and the coaching staff, it appears.
