Anthony Martial is unlikely to return in time for the Manchester City clash in the Premier League on October 2.
According to ESPN FC, Manchester United's medical staff are being 'cautious' about rushing the Frenchman back from an Achilles injury.
The 26-year-old, who was heading into the 2022/23 season as the club's first-chice striker, has featured for just 45 minutes and remains sidelined since August.
The club's doctors are aware that the injury can become even more 'problematic' unless Martial is 'given time to heal'. The good news is that Marcus Rashford appears to be close to making a recovery.
