'He is a top class player': Martin Keown backs Aubameyang to deliver for Chelsea

Speaking on talkSPORT radio, Martin Keown said: "I feel Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a top class player, the 13 goals that he scored at Barcelona were enough for them to secure Champions League football again once more.

"He has had one issue with Mikel Arteta throughout if you look at his career, but in general he has been pretty prolific in front of goal, I think he is an okay character to work with, Thomas Tuchel is saying that himself.

"Xavi actually said he was a gift from God when he turned up at Barcelona. Tuchel obviously knows how to get the best from him, they've got a special relationship and Tuchel knows what Aubameyang can do."

Aubameyang officially joined Chelsea on transfer deadline day nine months after leaving the Emirates, signing a two-year contract with Arsenal's London rivals.

The ex-Arsenal captain could line up against his former side when the two teams meet at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on November 5.
