'We have PSG as option number 4': Haaland's father Discuss Player Transfer to Man City From Dortmund

"On our list, I think Man City is the best team [for Erling Haaland to join]. [Bayern] Munich is number two. We have Real Madrid as number three, Paris Saint-Germain as number four... " Erling Haaland's father, Alf-Inge, said via The Big Decision documentary in spring of 2022.

"We also have some English teams other than Man City who are quite good; Liverpool and Chelsea. Also, there is Barcelona. They are sort of in the same row... " he also said back then.

Interestingly, reports claimed the Norwegian was picking between Real Madrid and Manchester City at the time. There was little talk about Haaland's potential move to Bayern Munich.

Also in that documentary, Alfie Haaland revealed that his son didn't join Real Madrid because 'they had Benzema'.

Erling Haaland joined Manchester City for €60m plus hefty variables in the summer. The 22-year-old striker has bagged 14 goals in 10 games since then.
