Christopher Nkunku is not the only RB Leipzig player that Chelsea want to sign. Multiple sources report that the Blues are once again pursuing a deal for centre-back Josko Gvardiol.
Last summer, Leipzig rejected Chelsea's approaches for the Croatian player and signed a new deal with the 20-year-old instead.
However, The Telegraph claims now that this new deal included a release clause set at about £43.6m.
The Guardian adds that Chelsea are likely to make a move for Gvardiol in January.
A move for Gvardiol is not that advanced as that for Nkunku, though, as the French forward has already signed a pre-contract agreement with the Blues. He is waiting for the clubs to reach a deal on the rtansfer fee that could be slighly above his £52.5m release clause.
