Speaking to Sky Sports, Paul Merson said: "Liverpool played against Rangers in the Champions League on Tuesday and won quite comfortably.
"They will have a bit more rest heading into the much-anticipated Premier League clash, but on current form, Arsenal are probably favorites.
"Against Arsenal, though, I think Liverpool will get ripped to shreds if they play Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara together.
"They will have to go up against Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard. The Gunners' trio have been in sublime form this season."
Arsenal have won nine of their ten games in all competitions so far this season, sitting top of the Premier League table ahead of the Liverpool clash.
Jurgen Klopp's men, however, are nowhere near their stellar 2021/22 form and the Gunners are actually favourites heading into Sunday's game.
