Before the start of the Champions League for 2022/23 Xavi was pretty confident about winning the competition.
In a press conference ahead of Barca's first game Xavi said:
"Why can't we win the Champions League, we have to reach at least the last 16 and dreaming is free".
"Of course, we can dream, I want to win, I want to win La Liga, the Champions League, the Cup, the Super Cup, but from here to being a favourite... you have to be humble.
"You can dream, otherwise I would be at home," Xavi adds.
Xavi may have made the assertion because Barca spent over €200m on seven new players.
However, five matchdays into the tournament the Blaugrana have been knocked out after losing three games.
As it turns out, there are many reasons why Xavi can't win the Champions League as Pedri pointed out earlier.
