Arsenal are 'keen' to add a central midfielder and a winger to their squad in the January transfer window, according to ESPN FC.
The club owners are ready to back Mikel Arteta in the winter market in an attempt to sustain their unlikely Premier League title challenge.
The Gunners' defeats in the Europa League and the EFL Cup earlier this season showed that there was not enough squad depth at the Emirates.
Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League, sitting five points above second-placed Manchester City. The top-flight action returns at the end of December.
