Senegal have decided to bench Edouard Mendy for their second World Cup game against Qatar, according to Senegalese outlet Galsenfoot.

Mendy was culpable for the two goals conceded by Senegal in their 2-0 defeat to the Netherlands on Monday.

Senegal coach Aliou Cisse can call on either Alfred Gomis of Rennes or Seny Dieng of QPR if he does decide to bench Mendy.
