Less than a year after Mohamed Salah could not make good on his promises to take revenge on Real Madrid in the Champions League final, Liverpool will be facing the Spanish giants again - but in the Round of 16 this time.
This will be the fourth time that the two clubs face each other in the knockout stage of the competition since the 2017/18 season, including two finals. Real Madrid were the winners each time.
Some of the Liverpool fans are understandably unhappy to see the bogey team back - however, other fans are more optimistic about the Reds' chances.

TomK42, This Is Anfield: "Jeeez the football gods are not shining on us right now. One thing’s for sure, Madrid certainly wouldn’t have wanted to pull us out the hat but equally they were the one team I would’ve preferred us to avoid. Hopefully we’ll have all our key players fit for the tie with at least Jota and Diaz back and also with any luck a new midfielder (or preferably two)."
Mercerai, Reddit: "Seeing as we only ever get knocked out by Madrid teams, if we win this, we win the entire thing. Rules are rules"
Dave Hendrick, Twitter: "I'd rather play Real over two legs than in a one off game."
A_Furious_Badger, Reddit: "Lets look at it this way. We beat Madrid, we can beat anyone. Would rather have them now than in the final."
HotActionKOP, Twitter: "Of course we are... wouldn't have expected anything less. But you know what, it's time for REVENGE... we owe them a seriously doing over for multiple reasons and that time is now"
wallabear, Reddit: "Big game, big moments. If we wanna win we have to beat the best. Real Madrid will not be excited about this either."
Red_Arrows, This Is Anfield: "Will be two exciting ties. Hopefully we have everybody available then and are in form. One thing we have not managed to do so far in the Klopp era is beat Real. No team remains unbeaten. Fingers crossed, the boys pull it off in the last 16."
The Redmen TV, Twitter: "Stay quiet Mo..."
