Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has reacted to being the fastest player at the just ended World Cup in Qatar.
Sulemana recorded the topmost speed during the tournament in Qatar with a run of 22.18mph in the game against Uruguay.
He beat Nico Williams (22.12), David Raum (22.00mph), Antonee Robinson (21.99) and Daniel James (21.99mph) to emerge the fastest at the World Cup.
Although Ghana exited the tournament at the group stage, the Stade Rennais winger held his record.
"I don't think it was the counter attack because running with the ball in different," he told 3 Sports as quoted by GHANASoccernet.
"It was when I was running back, you know we were down 2-0 and then it was like five minutes to go and there was a counter against us so I had recover back. I saw a player who was free so I had to sprint. I was not even running fast," he added.
Sulemana played less that sixty minutes in Qatar, making substitute appearances at the World Cup. Injuries have hampered the progress of the winger, a setback he is hoping to avoid ahead of the resumption of Ligue 1.
