Magnificent As Morocco King Honours Players & Their Mums

Moroccco's history-making team were honoured by King Mohammed VI in the presence of their mothers following their sterling performance at the 2022 World Cup.

 Throughout Morocco's historic World Cup run in which the Atlas Lions became the first African nation to reach the semifinals, photos of the players celebrating with their mothers made global headlines. 

Images of Achraf Hakimi hugging his mother and giving her his jersey, and Soufiane Boufal dancing with his mum after winning against Portugal went viral online. 

In the same vein, a photo making the rounds on social media shows the players posing with their mothers after they were honoured by King Mohammed VI. 

On Tuesday King Mohammed VI received the national team at the Royal Palace in Rabat in recognition of their historic achievement in he Qatar, Africanews reports.

 The royal reception held in honor of the Atlas Lions' historic achievement demonstrates King Mohammed VI's support for youth and athletes, per MWN. 

Morocco receive heroic welcome

 The Morocco national football team has been accorded a heroic welcome after jetting back home from the 2022 World Cup. 

The North Africans enjoyed a successful campaign during the global football showpiece as they became the first team in history from the continent to reach the semis. 

That notwithstanding Moroccan fans had every reason to accord the team a heroic reception after they jetted back home.
