Spain announces Luis Enrique's replacement moments after his departure

The Spanish Football Federation have confirmed Luis de la Fuente as the next head coach of the Spanish national team.

De La Fuente takes over from Luis Enrique who was relieved of his duties earlier in the day.

Before taking over the job, De La Fuente was manager of Spain's under-21 side.

The 61-year-old has worked previously as coach of Atletic Bilbao and Deportivo Alaves.
