'What a shame': Georgina Rodriguez aims jibe at Fernando Santos for benching Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez has hit out at Portugal coach Fernando Santos for not starting the 37-year-old in the Switzerland clash at the World Cup.
Georgina painted a pretty picture as she travelled to Qatar to support her man. She posted the following caption on Instagram after the game: “Congratulations Portugal.
“While the 11 players sang the anthem all the targets placed on you.
“What a shame not to have been able to enjoy the best player in the world during the 90 minutes. The fans have not stopped claiming you and shouting your name.
“I hope that God and your dear friend Fernando continue hand in hand and make us enjoy one more night.”
Ronaldo was visibly upset about Santos' decision to play Goncalo Ramos, who ended up scoring a hat-trick in the 6-1 thrashing of Switzerland.
