Ancelotti filmed scolding Rodrygo after Villarreal sub, reveals reason behind it
Rodrygo was replaced by Marco Asensio in the 57th minute of the match against Villarreal. Shortly after the substitutions, the cameras picked up Carlo Ancelotti, visibly angry, approaching the player and telling him off.
As per multiple sources, Ancelotti told the Brazilian: "You have to shake my hand, understood?" Apparently, Rodrygo was unhappy with his substitution and did not greet the coach after leaving the pitch.
In the post-match presser, the Real Madrid coach replaced the substitution and his scolding of the player.
"I thought that Rodrygo had a muscle overload before the break so I decided not to risk it. He's learned his lesson, he did not shake my hand because he forgot, I think, but this doesn't change anything for me."
