The Times report that Chelsea have made a new bid to Benfica for Enzo Fernandez. The Blues are ready to pay €130m (£115m), €10m more than the €120m release clause.
Benfica appear content with the offer and are 'set to agree' to sell the Argentine to the Blues.
Chelsea will pay the sum in installments, thus helping them spread it over several years to avoid breaking Financial Fair Play rules.
Now both Chelsea and Benfica believe the deal will be done and Enzo will be a Blues player.
